Another Intracorp project, Expo 62 is coming soon in Queen Anne. The presentation center is currently under construction. I had a conversation with Kathryn a few months ago about this project. Here is the excerpt from my previous post, Domaine.
So what’s next for Intracorp? Their next project is going to be on 2nd Ave N and John St, next to the Seattle Center. According to Kathryn, it is going to be completely different from Domaine. There will be around 114 units in this new project including 10 work/live homes along a terrace elevated from the street. The terrace also serves as an entrance for these homes. There will be more information coming up in a few months’ time. Completion date for this condo is going to be 2008.

I’ve been collecting information from all over on this project and this is the first time I’ve seen the 2008 completion date. Thanks for the info!
The 10 live/work homes will run along 2nd Ave I assume from the preliminary design I’ve seen at another blog. I also assume these will be in a similar style to the 6 out of 8 live/work homes still unsold at Trio, just a few blocks away. Every real estate professional I’ve spoken to regarding Trio has been unimpressed. It’s been called everything from a flop to a soft launch, even a failure. It’s a real shame, as I personally love the loft bedroom floor plan.
I bet this elevated terrace approach will make the difference at Expo. I’m sure the much quieter 2nd Ave traffic will also help. So should the ground-level space needle views, which should only ever be blocked if the Pacific Science Center were to rebuild.
I’m looking forward to seeing the final design from Weber + Thompson.
about the trio, i don’t think the floor plans were a problem. based on the location and amenities/construction quality, they are simply not correctly priced.
