Pioneer Square is Seattle’s oldest neighborhood and this is an area where you will find a number of Romanesque Revival style buildings characterized by their round arches over windows, entry ways and window openings with stone or brick façades. Many were built after the Great Fire. It is also a place where artists, street people and dot.com entrepreneurs mix in the café and clubs. Some of the authentic lofts or work/live lofts can be found in this historic area. Here are a few that were built around the early 1900’s

I’m looking for a condo in the 200,000’s.
Hi Stacy, I’ve emailed you a list of condos in the $200,000’s. Hope that helps!
The Stadium Lofts project is under review- they had planned 60-some units, but now they’re trying to build higher and put in 80-odd units.
Some of the neighborhood is unhappy, as this will dominate the area and be taller than the surrounding buildings.
Then again, the proposals for the development in the north lot of the Qwest Stadium call for fairly tall buildings, so it might all work together.
In any rate, this project appears delayed- perhaps the recent glut of condos coming onto the market is slowing the developers down. They would probably prefer to wait until the Pioneer Square area can command the same kinds of prices per sq foot that the stuff up in Belltown and So Lk Union gets.
Just came across your site. Interesting stuff. Just thought I’d make the comment that the 611 Post Ave building is not a 16 unit building. There are only 7 condo units, the remainder being commercial space.
Michael, you are right. Not all of them are residential units. According to the realist record, there are 8 residential homes.
Residentail: Apt 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 11, and 13
Commercial: Apt A-H
Thanks, I’ve updated the website.
