Meridian is a fairly new condo located on the sloop of Terry Ave on First Hill. This 27 story high-rise building was built by Taliesen Corp., a subsidiary of Cressey Development of Vancouver, B.C. The 161 homes in the building include studios, one bedroom, two bedroom and three bedroom floor plans.
Studio 400-429 sq.ft.
One bedroom 557-793 sq.ft.
Two bedroom 1,013-1310 sq.ft.
Three bedroom 1,666-2,657 sq.ft.
Meridian is conveniently located between downtown (a few minute walk) and Capitol Hill with easy access to I5 and the soon-to-be-opened light rail. As it is sitting on a slope, it gives the building a height advantage, thus providing homes on the higher floors more unobstructed views of Lake Union, Queen Anne, and Seattle's skyline. On the other hand, the steep sloop is probably not the funnest part of getting to the buidling if you're not driving.
Meridian has a pretty impressive lobby. The tall ceilings, fire place, and cozy sitting areas make it really inviting for visitors. Other than the spacious and well appointed lobby, the condo's amenities include concierge service, fitness center, club room, hot tub, sauna room, and media room.
Overall, Meridian is a very pleasant and comfortable building. It also seems pretty secured with double garage entry doors and fob key activation for the elevators. If A/C is important to you, you'll be happy to know all units have it. If you are downsizing from a big house or need a three bedroom home, Meridian will give you a good chance of finding a sizable unit, even ones that come with two seperate master suites (rare for a newer building in downtown Seattle).
If you don't mind the steep sloped location and are looking for a big condo near downtown with reasonably competitive pricing, make sure you consider Meridian.
There are only 2 studios in this building… 1 of them is just a guest suite that residents can reserve for guests.
Thanks for the info!
