The Portofino is a 4-story brick building located on the corner of Summit and Pine in the Pine/ Pine District. It was a warehouse built in 1919 and later converted to a condominium. There are 25 homes occupying the 2nd to the 4th floor. The interior finishes are fairly modest unless the owners have remodeled their homes.
Second and third floor homes feature open floor plans, high ceilings (approx. 12 feet) and large windows. The floor plans are a hybrid of a traditional condo and loft layouts. Many of the homes have bookshelves built-in's and/or storage space.
Penthouse homes are quite different. They are 2-stories with spiral stairways leading up to the bedroom and come with 1.5 bathrooms. The only amenity is the two rooftop decks.
Studio lofts: 514-556 square feet
One bedroom's: 541-902 square feet
Two bedroom's: 980-1,055 square feet
In summary, Portofino is a nice looking building with a convenient location. It has wood-burning fireplace which is a rare find for warehouse conversions. However, this building has a limited number of larger homes. There are only four two-bedroom homes. With the exception of the penthouses, the rest of the units do not have any outdoor space. Penthouse level homes have outdoor spaces with corner unit homes sporting wraparound decks.
