The Athena condo was one of the first apartment conversion projects during the condo boom in 2005.  This 91 residential condo building is conveniently located on lower Queen Anne (323 Queen Anne Ave N).  The project was developed by Pryde Corporation, which is the same group of developers who did the conversion for Onyx and Asia Condos.

Studio, one bedroom and two bedroom units offer square footage ranging from ~400 for a studio, 485 to 759 for a one bedroom, and 880 to 952 for a two bedroom.

During the conversion, the interiors were updated with white cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, and tiled floor in the kitchens.  The bathrooms feature granite counter tops with tile floors as well.  Most homes have their own private balcony.

The building has a gated fountain entry that leads to the lobby entrance. Athena's amenities include a fireplace lounge in the lobby, community kitchen at the Mezzanine level, fitness center, on-site building manager, media room, garden courtyard, and a very sizable roof top deck (360 degree views) with giant sized chess set.

There is one elevator on each side of the lobby which takes you up to the homes.  The elevators open on both sides.  (If this is the first time you're visiting this building, you might get confused which side to exit to visit your friend.)

Overall, Athena is probably one of the more desirable conversion projects in Queen Anne.  The floor plans are pretty functional.  The amenities offered in this building are quite comprehensive and hard to find for condos in Queen Anne, especially for a conversion project.  If you enjoy great amenities, you will probably like this condo.  That said, you will pay a bit more as price per square foot tends to run a little higher than other condos in that neighborhood.
