Around a year ago, I posted some information about the Enclave on Lake Union. It's not a condo but an interesting and rare waterfront project. Looks like they have some new updates for us.
Yesterday, the 21-unit lakeside community released a range of home format options and up-sized plans. The project is comprised of two and three bedroom homes. Individual two bedroom homes are presold from $1.3 million and range in size from 2,500-3,000 square feet. The larger 5,200 square foot , three bedroom "combined" home is being offered from $2.995 million in an improved "vanilla shell" condition, meaning all the building systems and interior demising walls will be completed. Those buyers will have the option to specify the interior finishes. Fully finished homes with the same level of high end finishes are also available if you want skip all the hassle and move in right away.
Looking at their three bedroom "combined" residence, you'll find they have quite a generous amount of deck space. I like the option of putting in an elevator (it might serve the home better if it's high speed elevator). Majority of the homes come with two covered parking spots. Residents will have access to the Wards Cove Marine Club which includes a fitness center, conference facility, guest suite, and full service moorage for larger boats up to 110 feet in length.
Overall, the offering does have appeal over condo buildings if you're big into waterfront lifestyle and want more space. One trade off is dealing with living in a 3-floor home. Enclave is poised to start construction this year pending presale for construction financing. It will be built in phases and once the first phase starts, it will take a year for completion.
