Gallery will be auctioning 25 out of 41 remaining homes on March 25th at the Grand Hyatt. They announced they are offering up to 3% buyer's bonus on the 25 auction homes. A minimum bid has been set and published for each property. (Each property will be sold to the highest bidder if the highest bid is above the minimum bid price.) There is no hidden reserve price for this auction event.
Fifteen Twenty-One is more than 75% sold and launched the "Design Matters" campaign with online videos that outline the numerous design attributes that are exclusive to the building. In other news, 1521's developer, Opus Northwest LLC is handing over its earnings on future 1521 sales to U.S. Bank as part of a restructuring of an estimated $300M loan related to some other investments that did not fair as well (they have already repaid the construction loan on the 1521 project).
Olive 8 reported that they have 15 new sales since their reintroduction this year with revised pricing. There is now a model home for each common floor plan.
Really good blog. I have not been able to any other blog focused only on condos. As a lender I see condos fall to the side because lending has gotten a lot harder on them so rather than dig in and work to get their customers into a condo many times lenders push them to other property types. I find this to be very sad because there are so many good deals available on condos right now. There are loans to be had but the lender needs to do a little more work than on a standered home. Keep up the good work!
I assume that you got the Olive 8 photo from a their site or some sort of p.r. kit. But it is terribly misleading, even if it’s just an old architect’s rendition of plans for the site. As you know, it’s right across the alley from the bigger, brawnier Qwest building, and now it’s got the tall Olivian across the street on the other side.
I like a lot of what I find on your blog, but that picture seriously misrepresents Olive 8.
Hi Mark, the pic. is from the MLS. You’re right. I’ve changed it out. Thanks for pointing that out.
nice blog, this condos are really great. looking forward to have one.
Hi- relocating to seattle and looking for a rental @ the Olivian or the Metropolitan- what other properties are comparable? Appreciate any (objective) help.
Olivian & Metropolitan are both great buildings. If you like water views, Harbor Steps (Downtown) and the Olympus (Belltown) are worth checking out too!
